After nearly two long years of restricted travel and lockdowns due to the Covid pandemic, everyone is looking forward to getting back to normal in 2022.

Whether you’re planning your first holiday on Gozo or you’re a regular visitor, spring is a fabulous time to have a break on our island home. The weather is perfect in the spring months – with mild to warm temperatures and increasingly longer, sunny days.

Gozo is at its prettiest in the spring with the countryside looking verdant in new green growth and colourful wild flowers blooming everywhere.

And there are so many fun ways to actively explore Gozo – from hiking and cycling to a Segway tour. You can even have a go at bit of rock climbing or bouldering. And you can explore our stunning coastline by boat, while scuba divers will be thrilled to discover our world-class diving sites.

This blog post aims to give you a flavour of what an active spring holiday on Gozo could look and feel like. If you have specific interests – don’t forget to search in our blog categories to find out more. And our Things To Do In Gozo page has loads of suggested activities that we can book for you.

Walking or hiking is a great way to get to know Gozo. Most of our villa and farmhouses are located near one of Gozo’s villages so you can simply walk down to the village square and visit the local bakery to get a feel for the local way of life here.

If you’re a keen independent hiker then you may want to explore some or all of the 50km Gozo Coastal Walk. And we can help book you on a guided hiking tour of Gozo and Comino if you prefer.

We’ve written about walking ion Gozo in these previous blog posts:

Remember, if you do decide to enjoy a day outdoors walking on Gozo we can help you by organising a tasty picnic, or suggest some great places to eat around the island.

We don’t have any mountains on Gozo but we don’t think keen mountain bikers will be disappointed. There are plenty of pathways to explore all over the island.

Our blog post Cycling – A Great Way to See Gozo provides a useful overview of what to expect. Baron Holiday Homes is very happy to arrange bicycle hire on Gozo, including E-bikes, and can also help with booking guided tours so you don’t miss anything.

In fact, our very own property manager Donald Said loves cycling and in a previous blog post shared Three Fun Mountain Bike Trails on Gozo which he developed. These vary from easy, to medium with a more challenging route for experienced cyclists.

Of course, Gozo is surrounded by the beautiful Mediterranean Sea and we has an amazing coastline with many secluded inlets and coves. These can be explored in a variety of different ways – which our blog post From Paddleboarding to Diving – explains.

A boat trip around Gozo and our sister island Comino will give you the chance of seeing a different side of Gozo. We can help book you anything from small self-guided boat hire to a large group charter and even a luxury yacht experience through our trusted local partners.

For something a bit more active you can try kayaking, paddleboarding, and even aqua yoga

And if you like to explore under the sea, we can put you in touch with our expert dive partners. Gozo offers some great scuba diving sites – from natural caves to wrecks. Our blog post Plunge Into Gozo’s Gorgeous Sea For An Exciting Dive has lots of information.
